What are we looking for?

Well-written, original, engaging Bizarro stories. If you’re a little unfamiliar with the genre, please have a browse through our catalogue.

Please note: Slots for 2024 are EXTREMELY limited. We are aiming to publish one book per month this year, and three slots are already taken with carried-over submissions from last year. If we do not accept your story, this does not mean we did not enjoy it, it is most likely that competition will be fierce. Bring us your best!

What are we NOT looking for?

Stories with tired themes. Stories that are poorly edited/formatted. Stories that promote hate toward any particular group of people. Stories that are not BIZARRO!

Full Submission Details

Novellas - 20,000 to 40,000 wordcount

Novels – 40,000 to 60,000

Short story collections will not be considered at this time.

Author compensation will be in the form of;

·       50% share of book royalties

·       5 Author Copies

Stage 1 – First chapter only due within the submission window, along with a synopsis and rough plot outline. Make sure it captures our attention and makes us want to read more! Please allow 4 weeks from closing date for a response.

Stage 2 – Those successful in stage 1 will be invited to submit their completed manuscript (and their full bio) within 8 weeks. This full manuscript will go to our read team. Successful authors from stage 2 will be invited to sign contracts with us. Please allow 12 weeks from closing date for a response.

Author eligibility : Open to all

Reprints : Not Allowed

Simultaneous Submissions : Not allowed

Multiple Submissions : No.

Publication : Publications in digital and print, and audio, launching in 2024.
